Summer Break Opening - September 2025

Following a refreshing summer break, Trinity Lutheran Congregation was delighted to begin the new autumn and university season with hearts full of gratitude and hope.

It was a joy to welcome ELCA intern Natalia, ordinands Elina and Lutheran student Tym, and Reverend Jonathan Smithurst from the Church of England. The congregation was also blessed by the presence of new friends from the Zimbabwean and Polish communities, as well as members of the Orthodox Church, who joined alongside cherished friends from Trinity Lutheran Congregations in Leicester and Nottingham.

Gathering together in worship and fellowship reflected the richness and diversity of Christ's Church, reminding everyone that faith unites people across cultures, traditions, and backgrounds.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Lawrence Ward for leading the congregation so beautifully through divine music. His gifted ministry enriched the service, lifting hearts in praise and thanksgiving as the community embarked on this new season together.

May God continue to bless all who begin new journeys this autumn, and may this season be one of faith, learning, fellowship, and abundant grace.
