Trinity's Advent–Christmas Celebrations: Fourth Sunday of Advent – Love

As the season of Advent draws us ever closer to the celebration of Christ's birth, Trinity Lutheran Church joyfully marked the Fourth Sunday of Advent by lighting the fourth Advent candle—the Candle of Love.

Each week during Advent invites us to reflect on a different aspect of our journey toward Christmas. On the Fourth Sunday of Advent, the Candle of Love reminds us of God's immeasurable love for humanity, revealed through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is a love that is unconditional, sacrificial, and everlasting—a love that calls us to extend kindness, compassion, and grace to others.

During worship, the congregation gathered in prayer, Scripture, and song, reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. The lighting of the fourth candle served as a beautiful reminder that Christ's coming into the world is the greatest expression of God's love—a love that brings hope, peace, and joy to all.

As families and friends prepare their hearts and homes for Christmas, Trinity encourages everyone to carry the light of Christ's love beyond the sanctuary. Whether through acts of generosity, words of encouragement, or caring for those in need, each expression of love reflects the heart of the Christmas story.

With the Advent wreath now nearly complete, we eagerly anticipate the celebration of Christmas, rejoicing in the birth of our Savior. May this season fill every heart with the enduring love of Christ and inspire us to share that love with our communities throughout the year.

"We love because He first loved us." — 1 John 4:19

From everyone at Trinity Lutheran Church, we wish you a blessed Fourth Sunday of Advent and a Christmas filled with the peace, joy, hope, and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
